Palisades

September was pretty uneventful, we tried to fit in as much outside playing as we could because it is definitely getting cold outside now.  Dan worked every weekend in September so the first week in October he took a day off and we drove over to Palisades and had a picnic and let the kids play.  The leaves were gorgeous and the weather was perfect.

It wouldn't be a picnic without fried chicken, potato salad, and baked beans.

Rafe obviously agrees.
After we ate and the boys got good and dirty we walked down to the dam.

Bekam probably would have jumped off the dock if we let him.  He kept telling us he wanted to get in and we told him it was really cold water.  So we had him touch it and he said he didn't care.  So off came the pants and he was off.

Rafe took some coaxing.

But he did care that it was COLD!

We wore Khloe out, she passed out as soon as we got in the car.
On our way home we snagged some square ice cream.

YUM!
So back in February I had the extreme misfortune of losing my wedding ring.  I knew I had lost it in the house and I looked in every possible place that it could have fallen.  We searched several trash bags and everything and couldn't find it.  I finally had accepted that it had probably fallen down the drain or something and I wasn't going to see it again.  Well a couple of weeks ago Dan asked me if I would make him some hot chocolate for breakfast before he had to leave for work and when I got the hot chocolate maker down out of the cupboard there was something rattling around in it, I thought it must be broken or something.  I took the top part off to fill it with water and to my surprise there was my RING!!  I have no idea how it got there...I think I was cleaning the kitchen and set it inside there so it wouldn't get knocked off the counter but instead it housed my ring for seven months.  I don't even care I'm just glad it's back and never leaving my finger again.

Here are just a few pics over the last month.
We braved the cooler weather and headed outside.  It really wasn't too bad, just cooler than it had been.

They threw the frisbee for awhile, until Bekam got it over the fence :0).

And of course some sidewalk chalk.

We had scones for dinner and Rafe couldn't resist licking the honey off of his plate.
The boys trying to entertain themselves while I'm getting dinner ready.

The mornings have been a lot cooler so when I went into Bekam's room this is what I found.

They were sitting on top of the vent to get warm.

Rafe just wanted to read.
We had a little picnic in the living room and Rafe decided to walk around with his chair attached to him.

Khloe's fav spot to nap.

This is where you will find Khloe every night.
Spaghetti face.

Dan enjoying his new baby.  We finally got his new poof chair made.

The boys love it, they are constantly asking Dan to throw them in it.  And of course if you're laying in it Khloe is right there with you.
I had to include this because I don't want to forget.  When Rafe is falling asleep he will always put the blanket up over his head and he loves to play with his belly button :0), I always know he's ready for bed when he lifts up his shirt and starts messing with his belly button.

Oh my gosh that would make me sick to lose my wedding ring. I'm so glad you found it. :) Now you've got me craving hot chocolate. Do you love your hot chocolate maker? I want to get one now. :)

If I'm just making some for me it's easier just to warm it up in a mug because then it's less to have to clean up. But if everybody or just Dan or I are having some then it's great because it makes a lot. Plus it does all the mixing and warming up, and if it starts to cool off it kicks back on and warms it back up.
