Sweet Goodness!

Here are just a few pics of Bek enjoying his bday cake. He must take after me cause he didn't even make a mess. We stripped him down, but it wasn't even necessary he only ended up with a little around his mouth and all over his hands. He of course loved it, he didn't dare touch it at first probably cause he thought it was too good to be true. He was literally shaking he was so excited, it was pretty hilarious.

Birthday continued

Here are just a few pics of the decorations and the cake. I made a rubber ducky cake that turned out really cute. But I should have known that something was going to go wrong. Why wouldn't it, with my luck. I try to be crafty, but then things like this happen and it makes me question why, what's the point, I should leave it up to the professionals. I won't tell you what happened I'll let the pics tell you the story...An hour before the party I was cleaning up some crumbs on the floor and I looked up and this is what I found. I was speechless, I think I just sat there and stared at it. I am proud to say that nothing bad came out of my mouth and I didn't cry. I decided to take a pic so that maybe later I can laugh about it. So here is the cake with head number two, thanks to the fabulous Dan. He went to the stor and bought some small pound cakes and more frosting and he was able to help the decapitated duck.

Happy Birthday Little B!!

Yesterday was the little man's 1st birthday! I can't believe that a year has come and gone, it doesn't even seems possible. So here are a few posts of the excitement of the day, so prepare your self now for lots and lots of pictures! The three of us went out for breakfast that morning and opened presents before Dan had to get to school. We then had a rubber ducky themed party for him that night. As you can tell from the first two pics the ducks and balloons were quite a hit. These last two are of him enjoying some of his presents. Thanks again to the Grandparents for being so great, we wish you all could have been here.

Happy Easter!

Here's some pics of dying Easter eggs. Bek enjoyed some cheerios while mom and dad had fun doing all the work. We didn't get to have an Easter egg hunt at our house because of course it rained most of Sunday. I was obviously more irritated about it than Bekam was. But we still had a great day with good food and of course plenty of candy.

Books, Books, Books

Bek's new fav toy is his books. He'll sit there for along time just flipping back and forth through the pages. The one he's looking at in the pic is one of those touch books. He loves it, he opens each page and rubs his hand all over it.

Couple of Fools

Dan and I celebrated our four year anniversary yesterday. The three of us went to lunch before Dan had to get back to the lab. Bekam scored all sorts of free food from our waiter. We didn't order Bek his own food, because I was feeding him some of my beans and rice. But the waiter thought he needed his own plate of rice and of course some dessert. He liked the ice cream, but he kept making funny faces because it was so cold. Flirting with the ladies behind us, it was hilarious. He's turning into quite the ladies man.

Crazy

This is Bek's favorite position to sleep in, arms tucked in and bootie up in the air. I don't know how this is even comfortable, he's even up on his knees. Obviously being extremely flexible plays a big part, I mean the kid can eat his own toes.
