Winter Camping

So last weekend we were running errands and Bekam asked if we could go camping, I told him that it was way too cold to go camping. He told me that it wouldn't be too cold because we would be in a tent :0). So we compromised and told him that we could camp in the house. We borrowed Dan's uncle's canopy and set it up Saturday night. Bekam was so excited, it was so much fun. Yeah it was a lot bigger than we remembered, we had to move all of the furniture out of the living room for it to fit. This picture makes me laugh because Rafe kept whacking Dan on the head with that thing. We made tinfoil dinners. And made s'mores, with Reese's PB cups...highly recommended. We had gotten Mary Poppins from the library so we watched that. All of us but Rafe slept in here (he got the comfort of his own bed). This is Bekam trying to wake Dan up the next morning. These are just a few pictures from the last few weeks. It always cracks me up to look through the pictures on the camera and see the pictures that Bekam has taken. This kid is all over the place when he sleeps. Such a Ham! Gotta love these faces. And this is the face that he gives if he ever has to have his diaper or clothes changed. Such a treat. And this one makes me laugh and realize how old Bekam is getting. I asked him to clean up his room the other day. And I was amazed when I went in and his room was spotless. Funny thing though, usually his stuffed animals are in the corner of the room and they were gone. I opened up the closet and this is what I found :0).

January

January was a little more mellow compared to December, thank goodness. But we still had some fun-Rafe started walking, I celebrated the last birthday of my twenties (sad day), and we finally got snow so we could actually go out and play in it (good thing we got out there because it was gone the next day and it hasn't been back). So Rafe thinks he's pretty tricky now that he can walk and really get into everything. This is a really fun thing to play with, it makes noise when it hits the ground, he can take it apart, and it holds his very favorite toy...toilet paper! Dan was holding him and he kept pointing to this cupboard, apparently he was hungry. And of course big brother wanted in on the action. Finally snow, Bekam has been wanting to play in the snow so bad but we haven't had any. So when it finally came we ventured out. Poor Rafe had to be stuck in his stroller, but I don't think he cared, I think it was pretty toasty in there. Sporting his new snow pants and gloves from Christmas. Making snow angels. A work of art. And Bekam of course had to eat the left over snow that was remaining on his gloves, so refreshing. This is one of the places you can always find Rafe. He especially loves it because this is where all of the snacks are. And who doesn't love to suck on Splenda packets. Such a big boy cruising around. These pics were just cute, they were enjoying some cookies. And Rafe was trying to share. He loves to push the kitchen chairs around. So the big 29 was this month, these are the flowers that the hubster got for me, so pretty! I had to take a picture when the lilies opened up because they were so pretty. It's become a tradition to go out to breakfast on our bdays, and we found a new favorite place to go. Bekam is super patient with Rafe wanting to be into everything that he is playing with, but I think on this day he just needed a little "Bekam time" to just play. I asked him why he was playing in there and he said cause Rafe can't reach him in there. :0) Rafe's first Oreo...I think he liked it. Three wild and crazy guys! Gotta love em!
