Birthday continued
Here are just a few pics of the decorations and the cake. I made a rubber ducky cake that turned out really cute. But I should have known that something was going to go wrong. Why wouldn't it, with my luck. I try to be crafty, but then things like this happen and it makes me question why, what's the point, I should leave it up to the professionals. I won't tell you what happened I'll let the pics tell you the story...

An hour before the party I was cleaning up some crumbs on the floor and I looked up and this is what I found. I was speechless, I think I just sat there and stared at it. I am proud to say that nothing bad came out of my mouth and I didn't cry. I decided to take a pic so that maybe later I can laugh about it.
So here is the cake with head number two, thanks to the fabulous Dan. He went to the stor and bought some small pound cakes and more frosting and he was able to help the decapitated duck.

Ha! Ha! Kari that is hilarious. Poor little ducky. But you did a great job on making the cake. I am very impressed. I can't believe Bek is 1 already. He is so cute.
That is so funny! The cake was so cute! Of course something had to happen! Happy birthday to your little guy he is so very cute!
I seriously busted out laughing when I saw the decapitated duck! I'm sorry, but in time you will find the humor in it as well. And I'm proud of you for not saying anything to wild or crying. I would have burst into tears! :) Love all the pics and can't believe how big Bek is!!! Are you coming home for the summer to visit? If so when....we HAVE to see each other! I miss you and love you all!!
