Spring Cleaning

Dan and I cleaned out our closets and while doing so Bekam discovered a very cool new toy. Who knew!

Trip to Spokane

This week has been Dan's spring break, but we couldn't go anywhere because Dan still has to work in the lab everyday. But we managed to sneak away for two days to Spokane, WA. It's nice to get out of Moscow, because there isn't a lot to do here. Spokane has some good shopping and lot's of good places to eat. We of course did some wonderful shopping and Bekam was awesome the whole time. He just sat in his stroller while we carted him around everywhere. He loved watching people and really got a kick at all of the girls making a fuss over him. (I have never seen him so flirty) Here is his first Olive Garden experience, as you can tell by his face he really enjoyed it. He especially loved the bread sticks. Enjoying some cartoons in the hotel while mom and dad got all packed up.

Mr. Curious

Now that Bekam can walk he has found all sorts of different toys to play with and new things to get into. Inside one of the kitchen chairs, which was made possible thanks to Grandma Hess (you know why mom) Who knew a high chair could be so entertaining...he played for a good 30 minutes This is a new favorite because he can open and shut it and bang on the shelf. Definitely cheap entertainment.

The bib says it all

Bekam and I had a little too much fun the other night while dad was at class. Bek was done eating his cereal so I put the rest of it on his tray so he could play with it. He obviously enjoyed himself. So I took pictures of him, he started out just staring at the camera. So I started smiling at him hoping he would give some type of expression and this is the cheesy smile that I got. All I had to say was "ready go" and this is what he gave me. I think the bib sums it up.

Baby Einstein

Bekam loves Baby Einstein, it took me five minutes just to get him to glance at me so I could get a picture of him looking at me instead of at the TV.

Happy Birthday to me!

Tuesday the 13th was my birthday, and I had to post a picture of the wonderful homemaking skills of my husband. I got cake decorating stuff for Christmas and Dan decided they needed to be broken in and what a perfect occasion.

Christmas Break

We are just a tad behind on the Christmas pics, but it's better late than never. We got to spend two weeks down in IF/Shelley. We had a great time and the time went way to fast, we were back home before we knew it. Here are a few pics of the trip and Bekam enjoying his very first Christmas. He of course was more interested in the wrapping paper and boxes than the actual presents. Here is a pic of our lovely driving conditions on the way down and Bekam learning to drive. This is a pic before we left home, but I couldn't resist look at that smile!

Not a big fan!

Our ward had a Christmas party and of course Santa stopped by for a little visit. And I thought "oh yeah" what a fun little picture opportunity of Bekam's first Santa experience. But apparently I was wrong, Bekam did not agree. He lasted about a half a second before the water works started and the sheer terror of Old St. Nick was very apparent on his face. But hey he's never received any presents for him yet so maybe next year his feelings will have changed.

LOOK OUT WORLD!

Bekam has officially mastered the army crawl, within like two seconds. Dan and I were watching a movie and I noticed out of the corner of my eye that he was moving forward. And sure enough he was going to get his toy on his own. He looked as if he had been doing it for months. Now I can't keep him out of anything! We were trying to get him to crawl so we could get this video and he wasn't interested in anything we were offering, but as soon as we put Dan's cellphone down he started to book it. He truly is his father's son!

Happy Halloween!!

Here is our cute little Casper. I've never seen a cuter ghost. Plus we didn't have to paint his face cause he's already so white. Here's the pumpkins we carved, mine of course is the coolest cause it's the guy from Nightmare Before Christmas. I forgot to take pics of them that night so they were already starting to wilt by the time I remembered.

Yummy Cereal!!!

We started Bekam on Cereal last night and it was hilarious. The first bite he just stared at Dan and I, like what the crap did you just put into my mouth. But after a few bites we couldn't get it into his mouth fast enough! He looks so old in that high chair, I can't believe he's six months today. That last pic is Bek's favorite way to sit with Dad.

The Final Cut

So I finally got brave and I whacked off my hair. The first cut before she washed it was 9 in. and after that she had to have cut off another 4 in. at least. So here's before... And here's after...

Sweet things come in small packages

So I was bored and saw this box and thought hmmm I wonder if Bek would fit in here. Sure enough, and he lasted for quite awhile before he wanted to get out.

Haircut, new toy, and a pumpkin

I haven't posted in awhile cause nothing too exciting has been going on until this week. Bekam had a pretty gross rooster tail goin on so we cut that off. We also bought him a jumperoo that he loves. He always wants to be standing up so this is perfect. And then today we went to the Pumpkin Patch that WSU grows. It was a little chilly and Bekam hated the wind, but we ended up with some pretty sweet pumpkins.
